Six Contemporary Piano Pieces

This exciting compilation of original piano solos by award-winning composer Margaret Brandman demonstrates many contemporary writing techniques including modern two-part writing, extended chords, eastern and pentatonic scales, serial techniques, rhythmic variety and a hint of blues and jazz.

These pieces are of moderate technical difficulty and therefore would suit the intermediate to advanced level performer. They provide excellent study material for students of composition. Their levels are equivalent to pieces set in Grades 5 to 7 of the Australian Music Examination Syllabus.
