Sir Gawain's Challenge

An enemy of unspeakable depravity and cruelty plots against England, but Camelot has grown careless during the long years of peace. Many veteran knights are serving in distant parts of the realm and those at court have become complaisant. Sir Gawain, the King's most passionate defender, has been gone for five years and is fighting his own battle with heartbreak and despair. Struggling to find his way back from the crippling grief of losing his wife, he returns to Camelot to heal but is immediately plunged back into the responsibilities of being Captain of the Royal Guard.
