in days to come, when Siddhartha would become a god, he would be there

ve dnech, kter přijdou, az se Siddh rtha stane bohem, bude tam

when he would join the glorious, he would be there

az se připoj ke slavn m, bude tam

Govinda wanted to follow him as his friend

Govinda ho chtěl n sledovat jako sv ho př tele

he was his companion and his servant

byl jeho společn kem a sluzebn kem

he was his spear-carrier and his shadow

byl jeho nositelem kop a jeho st nem

Siddhartha was loved by everyone

Siddh rtha byl vsemi milov n

He was a source of joy for everybody

Pro vsechny byl zdrojem radosti

he was a delight for them all

byl pro ně vsechny potěsen m

But he, Siddhartha, was not a source of joy for himself

Ale on, Siddh rtha, nebyl pro sebe zdrojem radosti

he found no delight in himself
