Shock & Awe: The honest reactions and humble reflections of a sin-prone saint

We can come before God humbly and reverently and still share our thoughts with Him honestly and openly. And no one modeled this kind of prayer life with God better than King David. We have in his psalms a model of how each of us should come before God willing to surprise Him with our brutal honesty, but knowing we can't. He's heard and seen it all. But we also learn from David how to always approach God in awe of His might and majesty. He is God and we are mere men. Yet, we can cast our cares on Him and share our anxious thoughts with Him. Because He loves us.
