Shepherd's Life

It is the story of a shepherd called Caleb Bawcombe whose sheep roam the Wiltshire, Dorset, and Hampshire borders. Through his wanderings, Caleb meets many different people ranging from poachers and gypsies, to farmers and labourers - all of whom are trying to live on the land. William Henry Hudson (1841 - 1922) was an Argentinian naturalist, author, and ornithologist.
