Sheep Feeds and Feeding

A completely revised and updated edition of the popular Nutrition Guide for BC Sheep Producers that the author created when he was Provincial Sheep Specialist and later Provincial Livestock Nutritionist for British Columbia, based on first-hand experience managing his own 350 ewe flock in Alberta. The first edition has been reprinted many times over the past 25 years, and large portions of it were reproduced as part of The Western Canadian Sheep Production Manual.

This new, full-colour edition puts practical feeding management strategies into the whole context of sheep nutrition, ranging from feed characteristics and feed analysis to how feeds are digested, nutrient requirements, ration formulation and, ultimately, the management of realistic feeding programs for all classes of sheep.
