Shapes in Our World

3-D shapes are all around us! From a simple honeycomb to the pyramid at the Louvre, students will learn how to identify bases, faces, edges, and vertices of different 3-D shapes, including cylinders, prisms, cones, and spheres. With vibrant photos, math charts and diagrams, grade-appropriate text, and informational text features to help navigate the text, students will learn practical, real-world applications of math skills as they learn 3-D shapes and build their STEM skills.
