Seeking God

Every single one of us encounter a time in our lives when we realize that "something" is missing. We search for the answer, blindly grasping at that which might fill the void - relationships, jobs, change of scenery. Some search all their lives, never experiencing complete peace. In this day and age, it is all too easy to place your faith in the world. It teaches us that we are the solution to our problems, however, that is only a half truth. As you know all too well, self-gratification and other temporarily fulfilling solutions don't last long. What is the secret? The answer is revealed to us in the Holy Bible in Colossians 1:27(NLT) "...And this is the secret: Christ lives in you..." God lives within you. He is the strength you need. He lives above you and all around you. He is the essence of life itself. May this devotional provide you with the encouragement you need each day.
