Secrets of the Home Front. Goole

The Stakes couldn't be higher. In August 1939, as relations between Germany and Britain head rapidly towards war, the German equestrian team were hosted by the Royal British Legion as they travelled to Dublin via Goole.  A year later, as invasion fever grips the country, a body is found by the canal. Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Allen has no shortage of suspects. Nazi spies, communist agitators, escaped POWs or someone closer to home. But it's not just the murder occupying Daniel.
