Searching for Satu

A mystery romance set in Finland, following the quest of a young Scotsman called Ricky to uncover his origins and the dark family secret that led his mother, Satu, to conceal both their pasts. Most of the story takes place during a few days in May, just before the end of the Cold War, when Finland's unique society is poised between East and West and everyone is in the throes of a joyful, collective madness as the last of the winter ice melts beneath a sun that never sets. But the midsummer dream conceals a nightmare, which ultimately forces Ricky to confront a dilmma that nobody should ever have to face.
