Scouse-English Glossary

The word 'Scouse' has three meanings - a stew made from cheap cuts of meat, a native of Liverpool and the dialect spoken by the inhabitants of that city. Made famous by the likes of Ken Dodd, television soaps such as Brookside and, of course, The Beatles, there is an eduring love and pride in this richly humorous dialect.
