Scientific Pascal

The Pascal programming language was designed for the needs of students and teachers. It is a widely used programming language for instruction in programming, algorithms and problem solving. Its block structure makes it useful for learning programming and scientific problem solving simultaneously. This text illustrates and applies every aspect of Pascal (including graphics, DOS, BIOS and mouse programming) through worked examples and exercises taken from the numerical analysis and algorithm literature. All of the book's programs have been tested, and are listed in a clear format emphasizing their structure. The book includes a diskette with all of the programs and units printed in the text, answers to exercises, additional programs and useful data files. The programs are written for the Borland Pascal compiler on the MS-DOS platform.
