Running to Catch a Bus is the first novel in a series called The Gordon Chronicles. This series is about life, love, tragedy and triumph in a small town in the mountains of North Carolina. Running to Catch a Bus is a story about the transformative power of forgiveness. In it, the heroine Annie Bryant is a middle-aged woman who is going through the motions of life. She is seeking to avoid the pain of a bitter divorce while balancing the relentless pressures of work with the unpredictable challenges of raising an out of control teenage daughter. In the midst of her trials she meets a man who seems too good to be true. They fall in love and seem to be moving towards a fairytale ending when secrets from his past disrupt not only their burgeoning romance, but also tear at the very fabric of their community.
