Running Away, Going Back

Running Away, Going Back is an eclectic piece of writing, a mixed bag of fact about Italy, introspection through a journal, and accessible poetry exploring Irishness.In it is the passion for Italy, which she has found after losing her own passion for love and life. It's a personal journey lived through the outer experiences of her daily life in Umbria, where she spent 10 months with her two children. The book is titled Running Away and Going Back but it is really about the new beginnings. Edel Molloy is an occupational therapist and has worked internationally in a variety of work settings. More recently, after involvement in development work, she completed a MA in Peace and Development at the University of Limerick with a thesis on multiculturalism. She has in the past worked with minority groups. She has always had an interest in cultural identity, most probably because of her childhood growing up in N.Ireland.
