Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. His book does not pretend to open up a new road to the student of arms and armour, but it is a faithful record of my Observations and notes since boyhood. My evidence confirms the accepted theories of the great scholars who preceded me.
