Reckoning in the Rubble is a story and series of essays, from the front lines during the battle for Mosul, Iraq against ISIS. It examines human belonging after war, through the sacred self, tribalism and the idea that everything is spiritual, all through the lens of a female war correspondent who found her restorative voice in the rubble.
