From the start Amos was trouble and his family really didn't notice until it was far too late. By the time he was in his 20's he was in control of crime in the Southeast corner of Texas which, in the 1920's revolved around moonshine booze and the KKK. He spent the rest of his life on the run from the Chicago mob, the Feds, and his family. Amos survived for a lot longer than he had a right to expect and almost safely disappeared for good Amos has a delicious ending that will be completely unexpected to the reader.
