Queen City Life: Love's Shadow

Quentessa better known as, Tessa, the main staple in the narrative, was just promoted to mid-level management at a local branch of a major financial institution in Charlotte, NC. Sasha, her best girlfriend who works in the same building, is highly excited for her, but is struggling to balance her own personal issues between her on-again-off-again boyfriend, William, and her lack of impulse control. Tessa's boyfriend is Malcolm, a street savvy entrepreneur, who in his maturation is suited to her homebody lifestyle. Tessa has a male best friend, Khaliq for whom she has a great deal of love and respect. The love and respect between them are mutual and slightly more than friends should have for one another.
