The Queen and the Messenger is the first book in the Relics for the Skyborn series. It follows the young McCloud family as they are pulled into a fantasy realm from their modern reality. Their fates are changed when they stumble into a cave that holds gold and relics that advance their status among the local citizens. The family's status increases to the highest levels as they aide with the ongoing war against a giant orc horde. With their new titles it may be difficult to return to the world they left.
