Purushasuktam

puruShasUktam is the greatest of the Vedic hymns, occurring in all Vedas. It is recited on all occasions and in all rituals as well as in daily prayers. It gives a grand vision of the creation and a great experience of the Creator. It proclaims that there is no way for salvation other than realizing God as one beyond all ignorance and from Whom emanates pure wisdom. Two great masters of Vedic lore and visionaries have written revealing commentaries on this hymn in Sanskrit. This booklet is an effort to bring the purport of the hymn and the vision of the commentators to within the reach of all through appropriate annotations in Sanskrit, transliteration and translation into Telugu, and English which is more widely understood.
