Progress in Education

This volume includes eight chapters that details progress in the field of education. Chapter 1 outlines a novel framework for assessing learner engagement and cognitive processes in AI-driven educational environments. Chapter 2 presents a comprehensive examination of the digital empowerment of students with visual impairments by integrating theoretical, technological, pedagogical, and policy-related perspectives. Chapter 3 explores how strategic leadership has implemented school improvement in Malaysia education system. Chapter 4 describes a safe and at-home acid-base titration activity using household materials, designed within a Process-Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) framework to support conceptual rigor during remote chemistry instruction. Chapter 5 reflects on the author's experience teaching asynchronously required mathematics content and methods course to elementary teacher candidates. Chapter 6 presents a student-centered approach to providing feedback on writing assignments in college writing courses. Chapter 7 reviews several empirical studies in mathematics education, which demonstrate the value of incorporating element interactivity as a lens for evaluating not only the complexity of learning materials, but also the relative effectiveness of different instructional approaches across various secondary school mathematics topics.
