Principles of Atmospheric Physics and Chemistry

This undergraduate text provides an introduction to the basic principles of atmospheric physics and chemistry. It allows a physics or chemistry undergraduate, without previous knowledge of the subject, to enter the subject at a fairly advanced level. It is a comprehensive text outlining the subject from the formation of the solar system to the present state of the atmosphere. All aspects of the lower and middle atmospheres, except for large-scale dynamics, are treated in a connected account as ultimate consequences of the solar radiation falling on the planet.
