Principles and Methods for Accelerated Catalyst Design and Testing

The pace of development in the chemical industry is increasing steadily, bring with it a corresponding need to develop catalysts as rapidly as possible. High throughput experimentation has had great success in drug design but hitherto it has scarcely been used in the catalysis field. There is thus a need to make the underlying principles of this methodology more widely understood, in a coherent, integrated format. This book aims to fulfill such a need - it delineates and consolidates the principles and methods underlying accelerated catalyst design and testing, identifies the main challenges for progress in the field and contains an extensive review of catalytic principles.
