Pride and Prejudice

"I could easily forgive his pride, if he had not mortified mine." ― Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen tells the story of Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy, who meet at a local ball and make negative judgments about each other. Darcy dismisses Elizabeth as superficial and uninteresting, while Elizabeth deems Darcy overbearing and rude. Amidst the struggles Bennet family goes through while looking for suitable grooms for the five sisters of the family, Elizabeth's and Darcy's lives become more intertwined, and their relationship transforms from one of mutual dislike to one of mutual respect and love.
