Price Dumbbells: Coase Graining the Financial Markets

Price Dumbbells applies the concept of coarse graining from statistical mechanics to the analysis of financial markets. As examples it is applied to an analysis of long term & short term bond markets as presented by mutual funds. The analysis is not meant to advance the efforts of traders and speculators to enrich themselves through market trades but instead to identify the fundamental mechanisms operating underneath market transactions. Its goal is to teach both the students and practitioners of finance the proper way to formulate an analytical systems approach while still retaining the ability to apply the analysis to real, not fictitious, markets.
