Points of Interest

Driving north along the road between Hughenden and Lynd Junction in North Queensland, the local council has erected signs that indicated Point of Interest, 300m. There is the grave of a mailman, another they think is the grave of an aboriginal woman, a whistling bore drain, and the magnificent Porcupine Gorge with its scenic lookouts. The points of interest in this book are places of significant historic, geographical, or human interest that have made a lasting impression on me as I traveled the byways of Australia in my retirement. They are often out of the way or places seldom visited. I traveled the world, saving the best until last.
