Plunged into the Trinity

The sacraments make our "e;plunge"e; into communion with the Trinity visible and tangible. Baptism is literally a "e;plunge"e;, but only the beginning of our organic incorporation, through the Body of Christ, as participants in the very life of God. The Eucharistic Body makes us into the Ecclesial Body of the Second Person of the Trinity. This communion is the fulfillment of the Great Commandment, and each sacrament represents a particular application of this union. Finally, the Church itself is the Great Sacrament of the world's restoration in love to perfect communion with God. The ten reflections in this book attempt to deepen our appreciation for this Great Mystery.
