Plastic in Brazilian society

Plastic is a major advance for society, being of paramount importance, mainly because it has properties that make it attractive compared to other materials. These are: lightweight, impact resistant, resistant to deterioration due to decomposition and attack by microorganisms, corrosion resistant, easy to process, and low maintenance cost. This literature review is important for analyzing the emergence of plastic, its evolution, and its contribution to society.
