Pieces of Work

Very little in Bevy Markland's life has gone according to plan- not her childhood, not her personal life, and certainly not her career. But even though she's stuck working as the only living entertainment reporter with a PhD, she's putting one foot in front of the other, handling her responsibilities and trying to get life right. Until, that is, she meets the actor Oliver Allen. Just as she's ready to embark on a new path, the past she's worked so hard to leave behind pulls into her driveway. Soon, Bevy's drawn into a cast of characters all trying to do their best as they live with loss, change and disappointment. Sometimes it isn't enough. And sometimes, it's more than anyone could have hoped for.
