Mrs. Ray tried to pull out her license for the police officer. the purse and its contents spilled onto the roadway. She had just experienced a nerve attack. Her sedative was not working. She lost her breath and attempted to signal the officer. If the officer had not seen the strained look, he would have sought to desist her...thankfully however he noticed the distress and carefully assisted her from the vehicle and himself gathered her purse and its contents. This was unusual police procedure...however...what was pertinent in this situation? He witnessed the woman's distress and loss of breath.
