Peppermints and Roses

As a prelude to the release of 'Just life, ' 'Peppermints and Roses' takes a peak into the heart and soul of the author and creative writer Jonathan D. Jefferson. Influenced by his belief in God and experiences traveling 13 countries (and counting), including Iraq, Kuwait, South Africa, and Thailand. The book is an artistic portrayal of life seen through the windows of the author's soul. Many pieces, such as 'Letter to a Black Soldier' and 'Good Morning' express a unique and personal perspective displayed without the filter of perceived norms or accepted generalizations. Every experience in life is holistic in that each person's thoughts, feelings, emotions, and reactions is a different point of view. Filled with the good, bad, and shared experiences we live. We are similar as well as diverse, like Peppermints from Venus and Roses from Heaven.
