Pastor B's Corner

Pastor B's Corner came about because my first name is "e;Barbara"e; and I love butterflies, and I was the assistant Pastor of the church where my husband was Pastor of Christ Way Ministries. The congregation began calling me Pastor "e;B"e; to distinguish me from the pastor and to acknowledge my testimony of a changed life just like a butterfly. When I think about the life cycle of a butterfly, it reminds me of my life as a sinner. I, like a worm (larvae), was crawling around in the life of degradation and sin. Then I met Jesus who brought about a metamorphosis in my life, changed me from sinner to saint. Just like a butterfly was changed from worm (larvae, pupa, crystalis) to butterfly; God changed me and made a new creature (creation) out of me. I was destined to bring hope, meaning, reason, self-worth, and beauty to people, who just like me were bound for hell if they continued in their own way. God declares that "e;our ways are not His ways, nor our thoughts His thoughts."e; We have to adapt to the ways of the Lord in order to gain eternal life in Christ Jesus, who died on Calvary for such wretches like us. Some people have gone through so much, and think there is no hope for them, but I am a living witness that God changes people and makes something beautiful out of, what appeared to be, a worthless life.
