Past of Huizhou

This novel mainly tells the story of Cao Zhengtai, the owner of a tea house in Huizhou, Anhui Province, who made huge sacrifices to rescue American pilots during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. His two daughters are both members of the Communist Party of China. The second daughter, Cao Manru, has obtained important information from the Japanese army, the central government and the military for many times, and finally died for the country; the eldest daughter, Cao Manjun, successfully obtained information to rescue the underground party organization, and turned against the person in charge of the Shanghai station, so that the secret agents hidden in the Communist Party were eliminated in the early days of Shanghai's liberation. After that, Cao Manjun followed the national army to Taiwan and continued to hide until she died in a foreign country. In the novel, the two lines of love and espionage advance simultaneously.
