Painting and the Personal Equation

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The chapters which are addressed to the Student are the substance of six lectures given at Ogunquit, Maine, in connection with a course of instruction in out-of-door painting. They were accompanied by a criticism of the several hundred sketches made by the class each week. The purpose was to direct the mind along orderly and constructive lines, and to furnish a basis for individual expression.
