Love and art are the whole life of Sarah Bernard of the East, Fatima Rushdie, that sparkling pearl whose name remained the title of a great theatrical renaissance. She was a pioneer of Egyptian and Arab cinema, a devout lover in the niche of art, and her name was associated with the great artists of the era, most notably Naguib Al-Rihani, who wrote about her in his memoirs: "Fatima Rushdi worked in theater for me when she was ten years old."Fatima Rushdi has published more than one book containing her memoirs, and some of these memoirs have also been published in serial episodes in the artistic press. These pages include some of her memoirs, and we do not claim to be perfect.
