Over the Wall

This book takes place in the past, in a smallmountain village and farm community whoselocal government has been overthrown withmilitary force, lead by a power-hungry commandant. Villagers have lost their homes and livelihoods, andmany forced into hiding while they attempt to resistthe occupation and invasion of their homeland. During the round-up of potential resistors, severalchildren are captured and imprisoned in an oldconvent run by a drunken and selfish caretaker andan equally depraved guard. Conditions become direat the convent and the children plot a daring escapeand eventually play a key role in ending thetyranny and returning their villageto its former peace.
