This reader presents a novel "Otets Sergij" (Father Sergius) by Lev Tolstoy, a great Russian writer of the 19th century.
This is the story about Stepan Kasatskiy, a young duke and a talented officer with great prospects ahead. But a sudden stroke of fate changes everything for him. So he abandons his career and social status and retires to a cloister. From now on he is Father Sergius.
