Online Course Management

What are the essential elements necessary for implementing a lato sensu postgraduate course, specialisation, in the form of distance learning, via the internet, in Brazil, at a higher education institution, in the field of Administration? To answer this question, the author identifies the various attributes of distance learning that must be present in the planning and implementation of an online course. The actors, processes and infrastructure necessary to make an online course, via e-learning, a reality in the Brazilian educational environment are identified.
