One to One - Monologues from a Writing Group is a collection of individual fictional pieces created by members of Burton Monday Writers - a group of freelance writers, poets and novelists based in Burton Upon Trent in the English Midlands.Intended for performance, each work is original and has not been published before.Each piece has a brief introduction including the character voice. Some are sad, others amusing, even a few objects are given a voice. Characters are reflective, hopeful and poignant. Hopefully, in the true vein of monologue format all reveal something of themselves in the narrative.
