On the Silk Road

With their trade, the Omanis reached the far north of China, to the city of Qansua and the country of Silla, which is believed to be the country of Korea, and they reached the country of Al-Waq Waq in the far east, which is believed to be Japan, as they carried out most of the trade activity with the countries of the East in long historical periods from ancient times to modern times. Arab merchants from Oman, the South Arabian Peninsula, and others traveled to China via the Maritime Silk Road (the Frankincense Road) thousands of years ago, and these Omani sea voyages became more active in the early Islamic eras.
