The evil Scarred King rules one side of the wall with an authoritarian fist. Queen Carlota, Ruler of Dendalen, leads a fragile kingdom on the far side of the wall, a kingdom that is already failing as several northern provinces revolt and join the Scarred King.

Carlota must bring the magical wall down or all the prophecies she has dreamed-prophecies of a savior who will rescue Dendalen from disaster-will fail.
