For the first Christmas following World War II, Elodie Wise, one of the famed Angels of Bataan, plans a ball to celebrate the homecoming of the town's last soldiers during Operation Santa Claus. With her best friend, Benjamin, at her side, she hopes to alert others to the needs of those heroic veterans.
