Old European Jewries

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. When, several years ago, I planned a rip abroad, one of my objects was to visit the remains of the old jewish quar ters in some of the European cities. Be fore that time, I had determined to write the story of the Ghetto, and it occurred to me that it would add interest to the work if I could supplement my studies by a view of the sites of certain old Jewries. This I found to be the case, for memories linger about these spots which bring their history vividly to mind.
