Roses and Thorns

Is it the time for Roses
Or the time for Thorns?
Are we in deepest Summer
Or in the dead of Winter?
Are we meant to display ourselves
Or crawl into our own shells?
Time to revel in the Darkness
Which hides All
Or in the Light
The dawn of a brand new Morn?
As I am a Man
Is not also Society?
As Arthur was his Nation
The cusp and pedestal of Piety?
And he too fell
Into deep, dark somnolent spell
At the loss of his inspiration
The strong man needs the beauty
Like the Thorn needs the Rose
