In Cuba, the antioxidant activity in monofloral honeys of Apis mellifera and Melipona beecheii species, respectively, has been investigated, obtaining satisfactory results. However, it is not known which of the two types of polyfloral honey is more beneficial in terms of its nutritional, antioxidant and antimicrobial power, which is very useful and important for its industrial processing and commercialization.
