Jacob Trakofski is just an average teenager, or just an average teenager until his best friend, Jessica Smith, is murdered. As soon as this fateful event occurs, Jacob's life turns upside down, his new best friend, Aldo, is acting mysteriously, and his teacher falls in love with his mother.
