This book is a record of the life of border guards in the Altai region of Xinjiang. After going deep into a frontier defense regiment to conduct interviews with seven frontier defense companies, including Baihaba, Zamanas, Ahetubaike, Kizwuyonke, Beiwan, Jimunai, and Darkhan, the author aimed the brushstrokes at the border guards and recorded the stories of seven border guard companies in the process of guarding the border guards in the Altai Mountains, the edge of the Irtysh River, the edge of the Gurbantonggut Desert, and the Barluk Mountains.
