Relevance, created as Newearth's first tribrid humanoid by an enterprising scientist, is on a mission to make a home for himself. Partnering with a geneticist who has a secret mission of his own, Relevance forms LEAP Laboratories, where animals are brought to sentience. Haunting childhood rejection hurls him into reckless actions and blinds him to the harm he might do to others. When his patients suffer tragically, he searches for answers and discovers that a grim truth offers more hope than an alluring lie. Family is more than DNA.
