The word "e;new"e; in "e;New research and understanding of famous works"e; conveys two meanings. First, it suggests new methods of research. Archeology, which combines both humanities and natural sciences, has been developing fast, thus enables innovation of hermeneutics. Second, it suggests deeper research and richer content of research. Hermeneutics has developed from simple focus on "e;works"e; to double focuses on "e;culture"e; and "e;works"e;, which means it emphasizes on revelation and interpretation from the humanity perspective. That is to say, compared with traditional disciplines as the major body, contemporary hermeneutics should also care about historical events and social life beyond classical interests.
