This is a novel about an ancient Greek historian who wrote about old earthly cultures, and he had heard rumors that one day those cultures would find their ultimate meaning in a heavenly culture. This is his survey of those carnal cultures, and the reader might be happy to find out how those sensual cultures meet their end.
